You sat cuddling your legs as tears streamed down your face. You'd just broken up with Francis, your newly ex boyfriend.
You and Francis had been together for as long as anyone could remember. He was an artist but lately funding for his supplies had been rather low. You were already working two jobs, one just for him.
"Francis, I'm heading home now, goodnight," You called, waiting for him to kiss you goodbye.
"Oui, Oui goodnight ____." You closed the door and returned back into the arts room, arms folded
"Francis, I said goodnight," you growled irritatedly. Whenever Francis was painting he completely forgot of your existence.
He looked up from what he was doing and set the painting on the ground. He quickly paced over, kissed your cheek and returned back to what he was doing.
"That's it Francis!" You yelled and in one quick motion grabbed the Canva from him and put your knee threw it.
You couldn't believe you'd just put your knee threw Francis' pride and joy so simply.
"We're over!" you screamed at her before marching out the door.
"Wait ____, I'm sorry!" He shouted after you but it was too late.
Things hadn't always been like that. Only upon a time you and Francis had almost been married, in fact you'd gotten engaged only a few months previous.
You switched the radio on as you attempted to squeeze off the ring. The song 'The one that got away' was playing and it only succeeded in making you feel even worse. "And this song goes out to a special little lady called ____ who's been having a rough time with her boyfriend who says he's sorry.
You could hardly believe it. Had Francis really requested the song just for you? You were in such confusion you almost didn't hear the doorbell ring.
"Coming!" you got up and raced downstairs to answer the door, only to be greeted by none other than Francis Bonnefoy.
He was dressed rather smartly and holding your favourite flower. "I'm sorry ____," he said, holding out the flowers for you
You hardly thought about it before throwing yourself at Francis, squeezing him into a huge hug.
"Je t'aime ____."
